Newsletter - November 2020

26.11.2020 Thursday

Dear Partners of UCC Munich,

We are happy to announce a couple of novelties that we have been working on in the last weeks:

  1. Move to SAP S/4HANA / Sunset ERP ECC
We very much appreciate that some of you already got in contact with us regarding the sunset of SAP ERP ECC and move to SAP S/4HANA. As announced a few weeks ago, a SAP UA webinar “Move to SAP S/4HANA” took place in early November for the English speaking EMEA community. If you haven’t had the chance to participate, please find the recordings of the webinars here (to access the link, please register for SAP Learning Hub, Academic Version, join the Learning Room “SAP University Alliances Learning Room” and click on the special tab “Move to SAP S/4HANA”). On December 8th, 2020 and January 20th, 2021 there will be Q&A sessions “Move to S/4HANA Advanced” for lecturers that have development clients on a shared system or exclusive systems with their own, IDES or Global Bike (GBI) dataset in use. These Q&A sessions will be held in cooperation with UCC Magdeburg and should serve as a platform for the documentation of challenges as well as the exchange with other lecturers facing similar migration issues. For more information about the Q&As and registration please visit SAP UCC EMEA Portal.

  2. Training Offer “Introduction to SAP UCC” (EN):
On December 18th, 2020 we are offering a virtual introductory training for lecturers who would like to get familiar with the SAP UCC services. The aim of this course is to show you everything you need to teach integrated SAP solutions in your courses, to communicate with your University Competence Center and to contribute to the SAP UA community. Please register for the training via SAP UCC EMEA Portal.

  3. Training Offer “Process Mining with Celonis“ (EN):
In response to the great demand there will be a virtual training on “Process Mining with Celonis” held on December 12th from 9 am to 4 pm CET. In course of this training you will be made familiar with the topic of process mining. Also, the company Celonis and the Celonis Integrated Business Cloud (IBC) will be introduced. Beside information on the connection of IBC to a SAP S/4HANA client, there will be hands-on sessions as well as best practice cases for its application in teaching. Please register for the training via SAP UCC EMEA Portal.

  4. Save the Date: SAP Academic Community Conference DACH 2021
We are happy to announce that SAP Academic Community Conference DACH (for the region Germany, Austria, Switzerland) will take place next year from September 13th -14th, 2021 at Zeppelin University Friedrichshafen. The decision if the conference will be held in a fully virtual or hybrid format will be made within the upcoming months based on the current Corona situation.

We hope that our offerings will meet your interest. We are looking forward to your participation in the respective training and sessions. Please don’t hesitate to contact us in case of any questions.

Kind regards,

From now on, our Service Desk can be reached under +49 89 9545391-60 during our support times on weekdays between 8 am and 6 pm CET/CEST. Please update our contact information as the old number will be deactivated by the end of August 2020. We are looking forward to continuing supporting you on urgent matters under the new phone number.

2) New SAP UCC Munich Website

We launched the new website www.ucc.tum.de where you can access all information about our team, our products and services, as well as our upcoming events. However, the joint SAP UCC EMEA portal (www.sap-ucc.com/emea) of UCC Magdeburg and UCC Munich will stay as the main portal providing access to the service desk, learning materials, as well as software downloads.

3) Invitation for SAP Academic Community Conference DACH 2020

The upcoming SAP Academic Community Conference DACH 2020 will take place on 7th and 8th September, 2020. On 7th and 8th September, the keynotes will be offered in the morning and the community sessions in the afternoon. Due to the current Corona situation, the event will be held virtually. Also, we would like to invite you to participate in our Train-The-Trainer (TTT) sessions before and after the conference from 31st August to 18th September.

We will schedule the sessions the best way possible to ensure the possibility for participation in most of your preferred tracks. Also, please keep in mind that the deadline for the contribution submission has been extended until 26.07.2020. We are looking forward to the contribution for the community.

4) New “Digital Transformation of Global Bike” Curriculum Website

Last but not the least, we would like to draw your attention to our curriculum “Digital Transformation of Global Bike” which addresses the challenges of the digital transformation based on the example of the model company Global Bike. Our curriculum website is now live: https://dt.sapucc.in.tum.de. Here you will find more interactive features, which will enable you to favor your own lecture list, create your own learning journeys, as well as to share your opinions with us and the other lecturers in the forum. You can logon with your H- or U-User login data that you normally use for accessing the SAP UCC EMEA Portal.

To give you better insights on how to make use of the curriculum in your lectures as well as on the functionalities of the new website design, we have planned online sessions on several days and time slots in July. You can register for the virtual sessions under the following link: https://registration-dt-curriculum.eventbrite.de .

We hope that our offerings will meet your interest. We are looking forward to your participation in our online sessions to get acquainted with the new curriculum, as well as in the SAP Academic Community Conference in upcoming September. Please don’t hesitate to contact us in case of any questions.

Kind regards
